As ROOTS Fest and the National Learning Exchange is upon us, I wanted to reach out to you all with a request for help...
On-site during the festival, there will be a need for "Documentation Site Managers" - yes, I made that up. What this means is really survey distributors and collectors.
Your responsibilities would be to:
1.) Prior to attending a (pre-determined and scheduled) Festival event, stop by the Documentation table (near registration) and pick up blank survey forms and pencils/pens.
2.) At the conclusion of the event, distribute blank forms and pencils/pens to every participant.
3.) At your earliest convenience, return the completed forms (and pencils/pens) to the Documentation table.
You will receive:
1.) My undying gratitude
2.) An "official Documentarian" badge
3.) The emotional security of knowing that once again, you really helped ROOTS compile an extensive documentation process!
I can't stress to you all enough how much this simple volunteer support is necessary.
If you are interested and willing, would you please email me at: stephen@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and let me know when you will be arriving and leaving Baltimore. The specifics and details will be worked out once we see how many people can help take this on. The more people that can help out, the less time it will take for everyone!
Please please please let me know if you are available to assist!
Please be a superhero!
