Melanie,
I believe that WorkGroup members, in all of ROOTS workgroups, are self-selected
volunteers. There is no vetting process for a WorkGroup member, as far as I
know. The vetting process is something C/APP/RSC WorkGroup uses to authorize
people who declare their interest in being recognized as RSC Trainers. Anyone
may submit a declaration of interest in being a Trainer. We are working on the
process of and criteria for authorization of those who declare an interest.
WorkGroup members do not have to be trainers, nor do they have to declare their
interest in being trainers. Not all trainers are on the C/APP/RSC WorkGroup,
only those who volunteer. Some currently authorized trainers like being on the
WorkGroup listserv so that they know what is going on but they do not volunteer
or are not able to serve actively on the WorkGroup.
That's how I understand things as they are right now.
Best.
Bob
