I have three such wood core spools that say Adox on the metal ends.
Beautifully made things.
But what do you do with chromes that get send to the lab? Is there a
way to wind the film backwards to the original spool in a Rollei or
does that mess up the lab if they don't see the "exposed" label?
One other thing someone here (or was it Harry Fleenor?) gave a tip
of how one could run 220 film through a 12 exposure Rollei without
modification. Can it be done with a 3.5E? I have lots of Fuji
Velvia 220 left over from my brief foray into the Contax 645 system.

Greg,
My "fail-safe" take-up spool is an ooold Agfa spool with a WOOD
center! The wood has a very thin slit for the leader to slip
thru. I must
have used it for hundreds of rolls of 120 film over the years.
