The UK DOESN'T have such restrictions, as of yesterday. Just liquids and gels 
banned.

Thank you all for responding.  Yes, I am located in Germany right now.  I don't 
think I'll have a problem leaving Germany, but rather leaving the U.S. with the 
camera.  The tropical case is a good idea, but I am leaving in the next few 
days, and they are somewhat expensive (albeit probably cheaper than finding a 
Rolleiflex in great condition).  Perhaps, this is a job for the Weltax folder.  
Even if it doesn't show up, I would be able to deal with the loss (even though 
it is a very good shooter).

P.S. Is it only the U.K. that has the tiny carry-on restrictions?  I need to 
bring my backpack onboard.
