I don't think it's expensive at all, considering how much even a decent filter costs these days. Then there's the fact that it opens up a whole new range of accessories for the TLR 'platform.' 
I'm definitely getting it within the next couple of months.
I'm waiting for the Marine Expeditionary Force to engage the over valued Euro later this summer:-)
