[rollei_list] Re: exposure meter-stupid question?

Hello Kirill, the main difference is about the
relationship between the lightmeter and the camera
controls (shutter speeds and diaphragm). The C or E
has uncoupled lightmeter, it means that you read the
light value according the way Richard explained you
and afterwards you put the light value using the
camera controls wheels, the lightmeter reading is
independent regarding camera EV,speeds and f controls.
The F cameras have coupled lightmeters, it means that
the lightmeter does a relationship between the light
it is reading and the way the camera has shutter
speeds and f stops set; the lightmeter always is
reading the exposure considering the light and camera
exposure controls setting, if you change the shutter
speed or f stops the lightmeter changes the reading
immediately. The C or E meter has an indirect action
with the camera, the F lightmeter has a direct action
with the camera, the difference required to develop a
complex mechanism for the F.-

All the best
