This question is for someone like you as I guess you use your photographic
equipment.

I have been shocked a couple of times by lenses which produced images of a
quality that I would describe as frightening (subjective as that is), Rollei
Planar is one and the 50mm Summicron 70s version another

I don't know if other lenses are as good because I have not tested them!

I say that to pre-emt the people who will say, that depends on what you are
comparing it with in a negative context, rather that saying nothing.
 
So my question is; would you say that the performance of an Apo Lanthar is
noticeably better that other View Camera Standard lenses?
