[rollei_list] Veiling Flare & Such

Hi Les,

I agree. They really are comparable. People like to split hairs to
espouse the technical virtues of one versus the other, sometimes
because they own a particular one. There is no way one can really tell
the difference between the two unless they are specifically looking
for them. Case in point, several years back I used both Planar and
Xenotar Rollei E2.8s to photograph a wedding. I took quite a few
images, many of which were enlarged. There was no way you could tell
one from another in terms of which lens was used. Both were excellent.
Now if you shoot at F2.8 or F3.5 maybe, but again it is mostly foder
for the internet conversations and not real world. Besides, the
cameras tolerances do changes with the years, so any variances may
also be attributed to that as well as individual lens samples. à la
prochaine.
