[rollei_list] Re: Veiling Flare

I will try and post some shots soon; I just want to take the opportunity to
say that as a shooter of black and white film (Zone System), I do notice
quite a large difference in the characteristic of various lenses, the Rollei
Planar for example renders negatives which are detailed with equitably fine
rendition of tonality and fine detail; this means they are rewarding to
print, other lenses may perform well in one area without the overall balance
of the Planar, particularly in the area of fine detail.

Granted I don't know the difference between Planar and Tessar, an
interesting note on my experience with other lenses Old Leica stuff 50's
50mm Cron very, very average (several used),70's 50mm Cron amazing quality,
80-90's ? 
Does any one have any experience with the original Voitlander Apo Lanthar.

Just my 2 Hong Kong Dollers worth.
