I would like to know the true specifications of the two common tripod threads. I believe that the larger thread has a Metric measuremetn which works with an SAE thread. I would appreciate your help in providing the SAE and Metric measurements for both the smaller and the larger mounts. Extra points to those who can identify the actual pitch of the thread (DIN, SAE, or Whitworth, or whatever).
