My 124G gears have gone - I can't be bothered to get it fixed, as Rolleis are 
just so much nicer to shoot with IMHO - it's just the feel of quality 
engineering at work. The Yash is perfectly capable, though.

Steve, You are correct in your analysis on the gears .. and I understand 
that they are more flimsy than the Rollei gears but I never had a Yash  that 
wore out but I had a Rolleiflex F with a gear failure but I suspect that it 
was from heavy use by the prior owner.
