This does explain a lot. I wonder why the tooling for the F models was lost. If it holds quite a value, as you wrote, wouldn't it have been saved? Also, if the new GX and FX Rolleis are made with T-model tooling, are they inferior in tolerances compared to the F models? (Given the fact that the T was the "cheapie" model, I mean?) Just wondering.
