[rollei_list] Re: Tele-Rollei

The brochure says that it has bayonet IV because of the larger diameter of the Tele-Xenar. I don't believe there's another reason.

I think the main reason for the B IV is to avoid
confusions with the accesories and Rolleinars BIII
manufactured for the classical Tele-Rollei, the new FT
has a different focusing distance and a different
lens, the lens is a Schneider Tele-Xenar 4/135 mm HFT,
angle of view 33¨¬, 5 elements/3 groups,
made by Franke & Heidecke GmbH under Schneider
Kreuznach license.
There is a brochure in German language for this
camera, it has interesting graphics about the lens
performance and DOF table:
