Ugh, this is reminding me of my sophomore year of college, and that FORTRAN class I HAD to take... I'm feeling a little dizzy.

I think I'll go polish a lens, or sort some slides.

TIFF is a file format, RAW is the DATA. You can put any DATA into almost any file format. TIFF and RAW are NOT mutually exclusive. As I said, one is a file format, the other is the data contained in that file format.
