I can't imagine exactly what you describe. Unfortunately I don't find a picture 
detailed enough of the 3.5 meter to see the differences myself.
Perhaps it would be best to sell the 2.8 meter, as will never own a 2.8 Flex. 
What is a going rate for them? Think the demand is not to high for them.
