[rollei_list] Re: Rolleipistol, -fix and -meter

It would be good to have Todd Belcher to answer your questions Eugene, but Todd
is no longer dedicated to cameras (I think).

1)According the Rollei Technical Report, the only difference about Rolleimeter
3.5 and 2.8 is the piece engraved 3.5 and 2.8, however the difference is
significant 'cause the 2.8 piece has an integrated ring or ear to mount the
other pieces below the screw used to adjust the sliding bar, while the 3.5
piece has the integrated ring to the left leaving the same screw to the right
(the rolleimeter facing you) and then the pieces to calibrate the Rolleimeter
are mounted in different position for 2.8 and 3.5 and the scale is different
too. I don't think you could adapt a 2.8 for 3.5 or viceversa, you really need
the dedicated piece.I think to use a no well calibrated rangefinder does not
make sense.

2) I don't know about to mill a groove for the Rolleifix, it looks like it
wouldn't work, I'd try first changing backs.-

3) My Rollei grip has 1/4" thread for flash brackets, in general flash brackets
have the screw, anyway if your grip has a 3/8" thread, you could adapt it for
1/4".-
