Congratulations Ken for the MX-EVS camera and the Rolleimeter, I think you'll
enjoy using the combo.
The topic about the Rolleimeter recalled me that a few years ago I received a
message from the main Rolleimeter designer son saying his father, Hans Logè (he
does not write English) became surprised very much reading a message I sent to
the old RUG commenting about the Rolleimeter and saying Hans Logè designed the
Rolleimeter and the Rollei Stereo Camera prototype based on two TLR and the
Rolleimarin for this prototype, he couldn't imagine the way I knew it because
it was something a few workers and engineers knew at F&H, Claus Prochnow only
mentions Richard Weiss team (Logé integrated this group, Prochnow conffirmed me
it via email)but he does not mention Hans Logé in the Report specifically. And
then I recalled Mr Logé son that his father was camera designer chief for
Walter Voss at Ulm (that manufactured the Diax camera) after to work for F&H
and that in a rare book about the Walter Voss factory I have, there is a
commentary about Hans Logé work
at F&H, thanks to this book I knew about the Logé designs for F&H. Mr Logé
recalled the book and the book's author (Peter Geisler) and the comments he did
for the book and understood why I knew on his work, he sent me as a present a
photographs pair where he appears on a window taken with the Rollei Stereo
camera prototype.
It's interesting to note that Claus Prochnow replaced Hans Logé at F&H in March
1955 when Logé started to work for Walter Voss in January 1955, Claus Prochnow
did not meet Logé personally according his commentary, both engineers were born
in 1930.
Due to the Japanese cameras, Walter Voss closed the factory in 1956 and Mr Logé
became a successful dental instruments designer, he is retired and living in
Munich.
