I use some black card stock I made double thick at work for the backing plates. Works very well. I'll look to see if I have any more if you're interested.

I guess I am lucky in that my three sheet backs are light tight. I have replaced the velvet on old Voigtlander 9x12 backs for my Bergheil and that has worked well. The problem with the older 9x12 backs is finding the sheet film inserts. About half of them I purchased didn't have the inserts.

Carlos, thanks for the Freestyle tip. I didn't see any 6x9 sheet film advertised on their website but I'll give them a call and find out.

I get the light leaks too Dennis. So far none have interfered with my images. For my neg exchange in (PS list) I'm trying to produce a negative using the sheet holder.
I think the sheet metal needs to be bent tight, but I haven't tried.
My problem with the plate adapter is the dust - working habits - but it still is a problem.

The light leaks tend to be on the part of the film not used. The metal on the holders is very soft so you can make certain the masking area is tight but the nap of the red velvet on the back just rubs right off, probably due to age. I talked to Todd Belcher about it once and he had no red velvet to replace it so I have been thinking of getting some new black velvet and gluing it in place.

Working habits is an understatement. So many things to train yourself to do or not do,
