[rollei_list] Re: Rollei off topic: Weston Master II 735 Meter with invercone

I just purchased a Weston Master II meter and it came with a plastic
invercone. Could someone explain how to get it to fit ( I think it needs
to be filed down). Can it be used on both scales ( 25-1600 and
0.2-50 )? My understanding is that it is used when you want to
use the meter as an incident light meter, so you would point the
meter at the camera ).
Thanks,

( Meter is Sangamo Weston, model S141/ 735), made in England. )

Best Wishes from England. I have a Weston II that still works well.

The invercone should come with a neutral density filter used when you want the high range.

You open the cover to the photocell and latch it.

Fitting the invercone over the photocell gives you the low light range.

Inserting the special neutral density filter before the invercone switches the meter scale to the high range (it has tabs that press on the scale change). You then insert the invercone over it and the meter reads the high light range..

Hope this helps
