Peter:
I looked at the Jones bracket here:

Does yours look like that? Not sure if I would like to have that
circular rotating frame in front of my Rollei. Looks rather unwieldy
and attention fetching, and there's no need for the rotation function
withthe square format. But I can see how it would be useful with a
35mm SLR, cobra-style flash and 200-400mm lens (a combination I am
planning to use in W-Africa next year for nocturnal mammal photography).
I did get the Rolleifix, mostly for the correct use of the newer
style Rollei Panorama head. Tried it with my existing compact
bracket and I think it works quite well - very little bulk.

Hi Jan,
I use a Jones bracket. The one I have is specifically designed to
accept a
Rollei as it has a built in quick release. They were bought out by
a company
called Veach and make one with a flat bottom. You are probably
better to use
that with a Rolleifix. I think the Jones are THE best brackets for
Rollei.
