What is the body s/n? What is the lens type (Carl Zeiss Jena, Zeiss-Opton) and serial number? There are VERY few of the first series of the 2.8A's with their original lenses as Franke & Heidecke went to titanic lengths to do a VERY quiet recall-and-fix.
Your camera probably has a Zeiss-Opton lens. Even if it has the original CZJ lens, chances are that it will perform decently, as only a small number of these lenses were unduly soft due to mis-assembly.
