[rollei_list] Re: Rodinal & Neopan results

Jan:
As you can see in the images I uploaded to one of my blogs, my Rodinal
bottle was manufactured by Agfaphoto GmbH and then it belongs to one of the
last Rodinal batches produced by Agfaphoto before their bankruptcy, the
instructions sheet belongs to this bottle:

Anyway I think I found the cause for this difference, it has to do with EI, the
problem is Agfa did not clarify the considered EI to give development times for
the data sheet included in the lasts Rodinal batches (at least it's the case
for my four Rodinal bottles and for several Agfa documents in the Web) and then
8' and 11' are recommended for different Neopan 400 Professional Exposure Index.

I have an Agfa Manual about their chemical products and within this Manual it
is explained that 8' for Neopan 400 professional is for an EI ISO 250, the
detail is that the only and recommended EI for Neopan 400 is ISO 250 at 8',
they don't give other development time for Neopan with Rodinal in this manual.
I did not use Neopan 400 with Rodinal, however I developed Agfapan 400 and TMax
400 with Rodinal followingthe data sheet in the box instructions and obtained
excellent results.
BTW, your data sheet does not have Exposure Index for 11' as my data sheet does
not have EI for 8', but my manual is the key to explain the difference.-
