I was using my Rollei P11 projector twice per year to keep the bulb life,
it's a 220v 300w G17q socket lamp, I still have a Philips replacement lamp
and I also have a Sylvania 500w lamp with an additional heat filter to
project from larger distances, but I have never used it yet. I prefer to
use a Rollei P360 autofocus to project 35mm slides, it uses a 150 halogen
lamp. Last year I bought a Rollei P66S projector for Medium Format, it's
autofocus, it has a dimmer and a timer for a faster or slower slides
change, it uses a 250 halogen lamp, they are very easy to find today
Some of the best Leica, Hasselblad and Voigtländer slide projectors were
made by Zett at Braunschweig and they have a similar quality.

A slide projector with trays requires a more complex mechanism than a
single load projector BTW; they are more prone to failures, but if you
don't use slide cardboard mounts they could work fine for years. Rollei MF
projectors have the 74mm tube for lenses, they are interchangeable from he
lenses for the P11 to the lenses for the Rollei dual 66 Multiformat
manufactured up to last year. There are a lot of different focal lenghts
according your needs and zooms. Most standard lenses Heidosmat, Isco,
Isconar were made by Isco at Göttingen, a Schneider subsidiary; the best
lenses for Rollei slide projectors in general are the AV Xenotar made by
Schneider, they have several focal length; however the P66S manual
recommends the S-Heidosmat 2,8/150mm five elements lens as a high quality
lens for this projector, the manual talks about its "impressive quality" .
I use the Vario Heidosmat 110-160 zoom on the P66S that came with the P11,
it is also recommended by the P66S manual to adapt the projection for
several screen formats.
