It could be interesting to know Claus Prochnow opinion on the Rollei 35 metric:
"In my opinion, the "metric" is the crowning achievement in the line
of Rollei 35 cameras. The plain, but rugged chrome-finished model
finds an enterily different field of applcation as a precise measuring
instrument. The robust body of diecast aluminum and the
High-performance lens allow the camera to be used for photogrammetric
work once its focus has been fixed in the factory and a grid plate
installed".

According Prof. Dr. Ing. W. Wester-Ebbinghaus of Brunswick Technical
University, "Photogrammetry is the art of non-contact
three-dimensional measurement of objects with the aid of photographs.
An object photographed from different angles can be reconstructed by
determining the bundle of image-forming rays from the image points and
tying them into a spatial network. A photogram is a document that
allows measurements to be made at any desired time so that the object
is needed only for the duration of photography". This ingeneer helped
Rollei very much to develop the photogrammetric cameras.
