[rollei_list] Re: PQ or PQS

The main difference is the shutter speed of 1/1000 with a PQS lens. The
Xenotar is an f2.0 and the Planar an f2.8, so with the Planar you can
shoot and use fill in flash in brighter situations and also stop faster
action (provided you have the camera which will take a 1/1000th PQS
lens). With the Xenotar you can shoot in dimmer situations and still
maintain a reasonable shutter speed. I have a Planar PQS and I do not
think I have used 1/1000 but my photography is not really what you could
call 'extreme'. Optically I have no idea.

FWIW, if I was given the choice, a wider aperture would be used more
than a higher shutter speed. 6003/6008s are not really 'action' cameras.
If it's too bright, a ND filter can always be used but then that's an
extra glass element......

If in doubt have one of each, they're quite cheap on the secondhand
market. ;-)

Just a silly question;

If one had a choice between an 80mm Xenotar with a PQ shutter and an
80mm Planar with a PQS shutter, which one would be preferable?
