[rollei_list] Re: OT: first Contax IIa arrived

Thanks for sharing, Thor.

I've been watching the RF threads with much interest, and have been
considering a purchase for upwards of 6 months. I've never used a RF,
but am in need of a very small, portable camera for candid's at the
park, travel, and just putzing around. My 35 mm choices currently are
an EOS 5 with zooms (very large & heavy) vs. Nikon EM and 1.4/50. The
Nikon combo is a great size, but the mirror slap and volume is
ridiculous, and worse still, frame spacing has overlap at times and an
indiscriminate light leak I've yet to figure out.

I'm mostly leaning toward an older Leica (yet to be researched) or
something which will accept a Leica screw mount. I want small & light,
good ergonomics (easily focused) and build, and excellent, fast lens
options. ...and of course at a very low price. Not too much to ask, eh?

If you don't mind sharing, what was your cost range on the 'new baby'?

I'd like to hear an explanation (or a link) as to testing the shutter
speed with the TV (60 interlaced frames/sec, right?).
