Well, Taylor is one of the manufacturers, though the other two frms seem to sell a LOT more.

If you lust after a THCE or the like, check out Bruce Williams web site. He sells it nationwide.

Back when I was writing the Zeiss Ikon book, I used to run up every month or two to meet with my co-author, who lives in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Charlie would always tell me to gas up in Jersey as the gas taxes were less and so they were : it is remarkable to find ANYTHING which is cheaper in New Jerssey but, yes, the gas taxes were five cents or so less there than in Pennsytucky or Delaware or Maryland. So, I always gassed up right before getting back on the Expresway south and always got a THCE or two to chomp on the way.

Pork Roll is an ancient predecessor to SPAM, dating as it does from the Recent Unpleasantness with those square-headed Brits in what we now call the Revolutionary War and which they call "that minor colonial flab".

I bought some from Bruce last year and, yes, it did bring back some very happy memories. Williams advises us to buy it so that we can tell off our neighbors which strikes me as a bit sick: one of my neighbors is a Punjabi and the other is a very sweet Catholic widow who raises dogs. Apparently, Williams has huge block parties where every household tries to one-up each other. Here in Virginia, we acknowledge our neighbors by waving at them and that is about the all of it.

Of course, things might well be different where Jerry Lehrer lives. San Pedro? San Isidro? Whereever. Some hopelessly destitute town in what, from every recent report, seems to be one of the most depressed parts of the US.

Now, Jerry: what about those serial numbers from that Studio Rollei you've been promising me for 15 years?
