May I slip an off-topic item in?

I'm having trouble with a couple of Tamron Adaptall mounts which previously
worked perfectly well on my Canon SLR, but won't do so now, so have
presumably gone out of adjustment or need lubrication or whatever.  Tamron
tell me that they have withdrawn support for what they consider to be
obsolete products, and no longer have the parts or the tools to repair them;
which I sort of understand, though regret.  They also tell me that there are
no repair manuals available either in paper or CD form which would assist
others in trying to repair them, which frankly beggars belief.  Does anyone
know of any websites which give guidance, or have any other suggestion?
