Depending upon who you talk to and what the demands of the work is, it
is digital which can have the more delayed/onerous work flow... many
who earn their living shooting returning to film for efficiency on
some projects...

Relative to analog and digital, tubes versus solid state, I'd add that
many vintage tube mics and processors are now gold bricks because they
are regarded are delivering sound qualities which are highly desirable
and which nothing else can truly emulate. Defining the goal of all
audio equipment as being straight transformation, amplification or
reproduction is not to understand the art and craft of audio
production or music making IMO...
