Mark, you are absolutely correct, at the end of the day its the pictures and
who makes them that counts. Having said that I paid $200 bucks for my F5....a
kind of price level where its cheaper to replace than repair. If I'd bought a
Leica it would have cost more, but would probably hold its value beter. I'm
amused to note that secondhand prices for my F3 have been rising steadily.
