William Conrad had quite a bit of success on television (and then syndication) in a number of noteworthy roles, including his own multi-season prime time network television series "Cannon." The pinnacle of his career was his stint as announcer for the final
episodes of "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show."

Eric Goldstein

He did indeed do well in TV, but after radio was pretty much dead. There was a sort of stock company of radio actors in Hollywood. I haven't tried to count but it can't have been more than about thirty, if that many. A lot of the radio actors in Hollywood migrated from Chicago when radio there began to disappear.
