The Fair Tax looks like VAT "value added tax" to me. We have that here in
Ireland at 21%, and we still have income tax, corporation tax, duty, PAYE (pay
as you earn),.... death duties, The income levy (thats 1.67% of your gross
income with no tax credits applicable)etc. In European terms we are considered
as a low tax nation....

Back to the main thread
There does seem to be socialist theme of let the kids go out and get a job,
however it may not be quite that simple.
I put a couple of examples here of why this might not be the most socially
acceptable solution.
We should perhaps consider the aged and enfeebled partner of the deceased who
is currently resident in a home for the bewildered.
We should perhaps consider the care of the handicapped children of the
deceased, or the school which the deceased endowed.
We should consider the business partners of the deceased who must now cough up
the deceased's share of the business, in cash, for the man from the
government... etc.

Just a few cases where it may cause problems.
