Never even heard of it, but did find this, which
seems to say that it's a way to get passwords for not-so-good reasons.

I have, from time to time, ordered things on
line and there is always a little box that is
automatically checked that says you want to
receive email offers from that business and
their associated business. Fortunately, all
have been legit and when I get a message there
is a place to unsubscribe. It has always
worked. Guess I won't try that with Grouply.
Thanks, Don. Eric helped me get unhitched and all is well.
