y when you flip up the lens board release lever the lens board will fall
quickly under the weight of any lens!  $30 insurance worth it to keep a $500 or
more lens from falling!

Bob, thanks for looking.  I just found a pdf version of the 2000/2001 Sinar
catalog.  The item is labeled: "lens board holder."

Seems like a good thing to have!

Jeff - I could not find the name, but Sinar's part number is 531.41    I would
think it would be called a lensboard retaining clip

For those who know the Sinar system, the following link shows a "lens board
clip" that I assume can keep the lens from crashing to the ground when the
holder is released?

Any idea what this is officially called and where I might find one?
