Hmmm, I have a Bogen 3047 head which is rated at 16.6 pounds. The 3039 head
is rated 25.5 pounds & looks like a 3047 on steroids.  I stopped using the
3047 when I got the ball head years ago.  Looks like the 3297 plate would
work with the 3047 although the regular hexagonal plate is about the size of
the Sinar's rail clamp...maybe?

I don't have the Bogen stuff here at the moment to check...unfortunately the
Sinar and Bogen head are currently 7+ hours drive from each other.
