No need to put a quick release plate on your Sinar F2 - the F2's tripod mount 
has it built in - just loosen the knob on the tripod mount and the camera comes 
off!  Easy on, easy off.  A plastic sleeve remains around the camera rail, then 
that sits into the tripod mount.

I like QR plates.  I figure that
point in time when you are wrestling a large bulky camera onto a relatively
small point atop a tripod is fraught with danger.  Anything that makes
this happen easier, faster and more securely is very good.   I use a
RRS QR system with my Toyo 45A and when you think of it, the Rolleifix was one
of the first QR plate setups – love mine.



 



Hey, have we done tripods yet?  - Carbon
fiber vs. wood and all that stuff of endless debate?
