yes.? i'm in the habit of holding the lens while flipping the lever.? but i
suppose some people aren't, especially VC newbies.? it's good practice to
always hang on to $500 or more of precious glass, yes.

Wouldn't it be just as easy to hold on to the
lens/board when flipping up the lever?

y when you flip up the lens board release lever the lens board
will fall quickly under the weight of any lens! ?$30 insurance worth it
to keep a $500 or more lens from falling! ?

Bob, thanks for looking.? I just found a pdf version of the
2000/2001 Sinar catalog.? The item is labeled:?"lens board
  holder."

?

Seems like a good thing to have!

For those?who know the Sinar system, the following link shows a
"lens board clip" that I assume can keep the lens from crashing to the
ground when the holder is released??

?

Any idea what this is officially called and where I might find
    one?
