Hi Marc,

that's cool. Just seemed some OT threads got squashed hard and fast, before any real objections surfaced.

I'm not against the thread at all, in fact it's interesting, especially to see the differences between countries. Just perplexed by the apparent different treatment it received.

No troubles, and no complaints. Just an observation (and it was funny to see everyone suddenly become an 'expert')

I judge List tolerance by the number of objections I get to a thread. So far, I have had a couple of on-List postings objecting to the thread but, to date, no member has posted me privately to protest.

I am generally very tolerant of off-topic discussions when List traffic is light provided that the OT is inserted in the subject line to allow those not interested to hop over the message.

In any event, the discussion on copyright, estate taxes, and the like seems to have died a natural death, so be of good cheer and let not your heart be troubled!
