Hi Frank,

In the current system (US that is) the money is taxed twice.  Once when you
earn it (at around %50), and once when you die (at again, around %50).
Which makes it a %75 tax.

I don't see how taxing people only when they die would work.  They could
simply spend all their money before dying...  Personally, I'm for a federal
sales tax.  I know it's not technically progressive, but it can be made to
be.  Don't tax food and clothing (and other essential things), but do tax
luxury items at a higher tax rate etc.  That way, disposable income is taxed
at a higher rate, and the wealthier a person is, the more disposable income
they have.

It's also conservative of resources, as used items now more valuable (than
the throw it away society we currently live in), as they are taxed less (if
at all).
