I just purchased an Omega B22 XL enlarger to replace the column on my
standard B22 and and have two head, one for coldlight and one with
condensor. I am once again impressed about the design of this compact
enlarger - simple but perfect - and easy to align and (dis-)assemble.
Anyone know who was behind the design?
With the enlarger came a Schneider Componar-C 2.8/50. I already head a
Componon-S 2.8/50. Anyone know which one is the better lens? The
Componar seems a nicer design, with illuminated F-stop, the Componon-S
is heavier. Still need a better 75 mm lens for my Rollei negs.

Hi Jan,
The Componon-s is the better lens. It is a six element gauss design.
Only the Apo's are even better. The later Componon-s also have
illuminated F-stops.
