[rollei_list] Re: OT: Darkroom Question: Arkay's Loadmaster

If you use fiber paper, it will work just fine.

RC papers need only one to two minutes of wash so a big washer is pretty much useless. More than two or three minutes of wash for RC papers can be detrimental.

Back before RC paper, I used one of these washers - for decades. They work great but also be careful if you load it with large prints (16x20's), they can get kinked.

I have a darkroom question:
I was given a large Arkay's Loadmaster rotary stainless steel A1620
print washer. Is this item worth keeping for washing Ilford VC
papers, as compared to the simple big paper tray / Kodak Siphon
washing method,?
Thanks,
