There was once, on this forum, a discussion about tank brands. I
liked the Nikor (not sure about spelling) best but as I recall most
of the comments about that brand said they leaked. Never had that

water bath (between flips or agitation, whatever was popular any
given week) to hold the temperature.

The spelling is correct (though mine say Honeywell Nikor). I never had
a leak problem, and suspect that real problem was that lids and caps
were not 100% interchangeable so if you had several it was possible to
get a mismatch.

This thread started me looking for my Paterson "Contact Proof Printer
6x6cm size". Found it right away in the drawer I had seen it last,
together with the empty Nikor tank and reel boxes, my late lamented
Rollei 35's manual, a couple of HP calculator and Palmtop PC boxes, and
a couple of K&E Duplex Decitrig slide rules they replaced. It was like
opening a time capsule...

Too much of my life is in cardboard boxes in storage garages. I probably need to get rich.
I have before me a Picket Model N803-ES log-log, dual base, Speed Rule (tm), also says Synchro Scale on the other end. Its in a nice leather case. I still use the thing. I also have an old Mannheim type slide rule made by Fredrick Post. This dates to about junior high school (now I think called middle school), a time I was a whiz at math. I can't add a column of figures now. I keep hoping someday someone will develop a pill that will bring it all back.
If people really cared about language they would fall over laughing.
