Nippon may be expensive (ok, not may: are), but they are the best! They have resurrected countless lenses and bodies (of the camera sort) for me, even as I've done my best to destroy them. One time, in a real pinch, I took a rollei 6008 lens with a dead shutter to them (they don't work on rollei), and they agreed to try to fix it, and lo, they did.... Hi, I sold a guy in NYC a Plaubel Makina 670. When it arrived, one of the strap lugs was detached from the camera. They are held on with a screw through the body of the camera, and the screw apparently snapped. The good news, is this didn't happen to either me or the buyer while the camera was on the strap! Anyway, I contacted: Nippon Photo Clinic Service 920 Broadway At East 21st St New York, NY 10001 212-982-3177 who is said to be a Plaubel Makina repair guy...but he wanted $400 to replace the screw. That is of course absurd. Perhaps it was Yen. Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for someone in NYC who I can contact and talk about replacing the screw on this camera strap lug?
