Ruben,

The Planar IS the standard for fast lens design in the "normal" and
short tele range. Zeiss makes lots of very fast Planars for a variety
of cameras, most notably the recently defunct Kyocera/Contax line. The
85/1.4 and 85/1.2 Planars are legendary as are the 50/1.4 and 50/1.2.
These are for 35mm cameras. In medium format Zeiss makes the formidable
(in quality and size) 110/2 Planar for Rollei and Hasselblad cameras.
Also don't forget the 80/2 Planar for the Contax 645.
