Here in California, land of nuts, fuits, and flakes, we have many bicyclists too. Too many if you ask me. They always screw up traffic in San Francisco. I do not see too many recumbents though. We do have a large number of Lance Armstrong wannabees always dressed in their Sunday bicycle outfits as they cruise the burbs.

Columbia, Missouri is full of bicycle geeks. Many recumbents here. Looks unstable, like you're only seconds from sliding down the road on yer butt.. been there; done that.
