I am not "trying" to say anything. "Cha robh bàs
fir gun ghràs fir!" is good colloquial Scots
Gaelic. Argue with John McKechnie if you wish --
I stole it from his book! You are putting it in
the present tense, and it needs to go into the
predicate as a general conditional.
