[rollei_list] Re: New "old" Rollei 35 - what about the users?

I take a different view of 'collector' cameras. I like to see camera companies like Leica and Rollei come out with 'special editions' as they can be sold for a real premium to collectors (read huge profit) and they will never come back in for warranty service. This is a win win situation. Lots of profit from the sale, keeping all of that profit from no service. This boosts the companies coffers which helps keep the company in business.

I even think the nostalgic nameplates on the current FX, FW and FT are out of place. The GX had it right with its slightly modernized script and the cool blue background.
Embarassing to see this trend coming out of the country which originated "timeless" Bauhaus design (form follows function, bla bla...) etc. 
Someone tell the folks at F&H.  So there.
