Thanks John
This site in Germany I have seen. The price for the unmetered Kiev
prism was about twice as much as I paid for my Rollei prism but
admittedly that was a good deal.
Personally, after some thought on this topic, I'll stick with using
handheld light meters. On the run, I work very quickly with an incident
meter. For other types of work in the field, a one degree spot meter is
faster to work with then trying to use a spot meter in a camera. The
problem with these metered prisms (Kiev, Hasselblad) is unlike the
SL66E/SE, they are not coupled to the aperture and shutter speed. I
guarantee I can fire an incident meter over my shoulder faster than take
a reading with an uncoupled TTL meter. That, and shooting handheld on
the run, I much prefer to use a WLF than a prism.
For macro, I don't find the lack of TTL metering to be a problem. My
SL66 is an older one, without the exposure compensation scale. I
penciled some exposure compensation onto the rail but truth be told, I
just make a note of the bellows extension in mm, the lens focal length
in mm and calculate it in my head. I'm never in a rush shooting macros
anyway.
My $0.02

No, I adapted them.
I don't have to remove and insert the dark slide very often but it is
very easy. Push the viewfinder release buttons, lift the finder, and
then remove or insert the slide. My cameras live on a tripod so it's
very simple.
I looked at adapting them to rotate but that would be a LOT of work and,
frankly, not worth the effort. The problem with the Rollei prism is that
it does not focus, and it doesn't contain a meter. Hassy meter prisms
have a center weighted integrated meter, a spot meter, and an incident
meter. The meter is very useful for determining bellows extension and
filter factors.
These prisms, on an SL66, are very cool!

Did Harry Fleenor adapt your Hassy finders as well?
Can you pull the dark slides on your backs with the finder attached?
The Rollei prism finder rotates so you can do this.
Cheers
