Hello Dirk:
                  My camera is already in Braunschweig, I received a
formal quote for the work in PDF format, they are not charging customs
taxes, only the VAT (MwSt. in Germany according the quote). Anyway
this is a complicated issue as you say, even for the specialists; I
could read some articles from Spain where they advise to charge the
VAT to the customer for similar cases regarding my case if the
transaction is about a service, they also advise to charge the tax to
the customer if the seller has some doubt about to charge the VAT or
not.
