Over the weekend, I got bitten by a NiCd battery that won't recharge... The camera is about 7 years old, but lightly used. If I have about 100 rolls through it, that's a lot. It has been sitting unused in the safe for the last 2 years. I decided to break it out on Saturday and realized that the battery needed charging. When placed into the charger, the red light goes on for 5 seconds, goes out, goes on for five seconds, goes out, and then the one flash every 15 second routine which means that it's on slow charge. However, when I put the battery into the camera, there's no power for anything. Will this battery just "die" from sitting around? Is there anything I can do to give it a kick start? I tried swapping the fuse, but the old one was in good repair so this tactic did nothing... Any help, greatly appreciated! j --- Jeffrey L.
